🗳️ The desi vote is shaking up the US midterms!

A viral post by second-generation Indian American Vasant Bhatt — saying he cast his ballot for James Talarico, the Democratic nominee for US Senate in Texas — drew 857,000 views and 3,000 replies in just seven hours.

And in New York, more than 500 Indian Americans gathered in Uniondale to back Congressman Tom Suozzi's re-election bid.

With early voting underway ahead of the November 3 election, both parties are courting Indian-American voters — running targeted outreach in Hindi, Gujarati and Telugu. Texas has one of the largest Indian-American populations in the country, and the desi vote is being watched closely in tight suburban races. The 2026 AAPI Voter Survey found Indian-American voters backing Democratic Senate candidates 66–18.
